Jesus with Map
approx 7 x 12 inches
acrylic and collage on wood
no need to frame
SOLD

I decided to do a variation on Jesus with maps instead of hymns. It was fun deciding to put Jerusalem right in the middle of his forehead. The Bible says in Revelation 22:1-4 "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads."

So, I figure the forehead is used for positive things as well as for the mark of the beast. (See Revelation 13:16) We forget that the enemy likes to imitate God, and we must take back what he stole.

Thought for the Day:
There must be a positive and a negative in everything in the universe, in order to complete a circuit or circle, without which there would be no activity, no motion.

"Hymn To Jesus"
approx 9 x 11 inches
mixed media collage on wood
no need to frame
SOLD

The 1977 movie, "Jesus of Nazareth" starred Robert Powell as the unblinking Jesus. The idea of a British looking Jesus with blue eyes is actually kind of funny, since that's not what Jewish people usually look like. This painting is based on that image which, for better or worse, is burned in my brain.

Thought for the Day:
...at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord...
~Phillipians 2:10
