I painted this while standing on a dock in the little town of Trenton, North Carolina. The town is so perfect and quaint, I would have sworn I was in Mayberry waiting for Aunt Bea to bring me an apple pie. I was surrounded by wildlife as I painted: turtles, frogs, and plenty of geckos.
