This one was painted one evening with all the leftover paint on my palette. I try not to waste, and it usually turns out right that way....
There are so many dragonflies around my barn this summer. They come and sit on the edge of my workshop bench while I'm prepping wood. They don't even startle when I walk by anymore. I guess you could say they are tame. It is amazing. It makes me feel a teensy bit like St. Francis. And since I believe that the Lord can choose to speak to us through animals, I Googled dragonflies. They mean wisdom, vision, and change.
I am of the philosophy that the Earth is alive, and we must care for its health. I want future generations to be able to enjoy dangling their feet in rivers, walking in forests, and all the other cool stuff this beautiful planet makes possible for us. I do my part - I buy green, and I'm a recycling maniac!
This was a commission done for a friend's Carolina Room.
Their music still sounds good to me. Why is it that some music is timeless, and some is only for the time? I have to admit, Paul has always been my favorite.
I love painting hearts. They are such a universal symbol.
There is a constant flow of computer parts through my home because of my husband's business, so I thought I'd make use of the keyboards. Such fun!
Sweet, 10 year old Jordan painted with me yesterday. I sketched this, she blocked it in, and I finished it. It is my favorite piece from yesterday. We had fun!
