For the eyes of the Lord search back and forth across the whole earth, looking for people whose hearts are perfect toward him, so he can show his great power in helping them. -2 Chronicles 16:9

Sophia, yet again
12 x 12 inches
acrylic on wood
SOLD
The book of Proverbs is salted and peppered with references to God as feminine. (This one is from Proverbs 4:9, the Message Bible.) It's often overlooked, but She's there, "calling aloud in the streets."

"Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public square." -Proverbs 1:20

I painted this while sitting at the Home Show a few weekends ago. It's always nice to do an indoor show because of "climate control"!

Commissioned Boots

This may be the most interesting "canvas" I've ever been asked to paint on, and that's saying a lot for this folk artist! They came out so well, I've decided I'm going to paint at least one of the three pairs of boots I have in my own closet.

Mother Ocean
acrylic on skim board

My favorite towel for packing my art is yellow and white striped, so I thought I'd include it in this painting.

SC Woman Magazine published this article about me. FYI - Sherman College is in Spartanburg, SC, not Georgia.

Bulldog with Droopy Tongue
acrylic on wood
14 x 14 inches
SOLD

I saw the cutest bulldog at Art in the Park last weekend. I had this painting sketched out and ready to go at home. Seeing the bulldog "in person" (wouldn't it be "in dog"?) inspired me to finish it.

I'm pleased that my art has a new home at Boardwalk Coffee House at 9th Avenue on the Boardwalk in Myrtle Beach. Stop by and see Rick and DeAnn Sarver for a hot cuppa java, along with sandwiches, ice cream, and other coffee house fare. I'll be doing lots of live painting there during the season.

This is my beautiful friend, Michelle. She's a serious art lover and collects my work. She bought this painting for a wedding gift for a friend. Art in the Park was wonderful last weekend. Beautiful weather and lots of happy customers. Life is good.

Reflecting
acrylic on wood

This one was inspired by the movie "Evening" with Claire Danes. I decided to turn her canoe into a viking boat, though.

This painting is big. It makes me want to go swimming!

Lots of happy customers lately! I like adult customers, but rarely take their photos! In the second photo, I had to fix the peace signs - I forgot a line, so they looked like Mercedes symbols. Perhaps it was a Freudian slip?

My painting appears on the cover of She Magazine this month. It goes well with their theme of Wise Women for the month of August!

All You Need Is Love Fish
acrylic and mixed media on wood d

SOLD
Couldn't decide what to name this piece. Other thoughts were "Drowning in the Sea of Love" and "Love is the Key." In the end, the title of the Beatles record won out. Because it is true - love is really the main thing. Those who have love in their lives have got the biggest treasure of all. In the end, I think it is all that will matter.
