Far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing. ~Theodore Roosevelt

I'll be painting on lots of windows and cabinet doors , since I've got 'em. Last night, I dreamed about a couple paintings. They were actually good ideas given to me in the dream, so I'm going to use them! Look for interesting stuff to come soon! May you be joyful today.
I had so much fun painting this piece. I sometimes dream that I'm flying, so I thought I would do an homage to Chagall. I've always loved his work. He was a folk artist before they called it folk art!How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young, compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving and tolerant of the weak and strong. Because someday in your life you will have been all of these. ~George Washington Carver
If you like this window, go see Maureen at Dogwood Hill Flower Farm. They have wonderful plants and flowers.
When I was a kid, I had a rainbow painted on my bedroom wall. Perhaps for that reason, I feel such a connection to this painting, and will be exploring this theme more in my work.
Artwalk was fun yesterday. I talked to lots of folks as I was painting, and got lots of good feedback on my art. Ed and Barb Streeter are the best! What a pleasure and a privlege to be represented by their gallery. They make glass blowing look easy. Stop by on any Saturday to watch them at work.
I've always admired that Robert Frost poem, so I slightly paraphased it for use on this piece. I got a lovely compliment on my art yesterday - that's always nice!
This one reminds of that Neil Young song, Heart of Gold. With Valentine's Day around the corner, I'll be featuring some of my Happy Heart series.
