This piece is done with actual red ruby slippers. The center of the poppies are embellished with beads. Pieces that have red ruby slippers usually prove popular at shows. The appeal of The Wizard of Oz is timeless, apparently. Although they are several days in the making, I do enjoy creating them. I hope you'll enjoy what you're doing today, too.
Here's a whimsical little cottage. My friend Linda and her husband used to have a magnet hanging on their fridge that said, "This house is filled with love." When someone can play an intrument, and it sounds golden, as if it is part of them, that's when the magic happens. When I was 22, my mom and I were at a fancy hotel, sitting in the lobby having a beverage. There was a gentleman playing jazz on the piano, and at that moment, I fell in love with jazz.
