Fiery, but Laughing Jesus

I often get requests for paintings of Jesus laughing. It has taken me awhile to produce something that I thought was worthy of Him. There is a glare on this painting, because I forgot to photograph it before putting on the clear gloss.

While those do exist (I know of a few) most of us are just regular people. As a matter of fact, latey, I've been noticing that many of my favorite artists are dedicated Christians that give all the glory to God. That is the direction to which I strive.

Growing up on the farm in Pennsylvania, there were always huge flocks of Canadian geese in our pastures at this time of year. It was always amazing to watch them fly in a "V".
I went over to my friend Bonnie's house the other day, and we painted together. She set up this still life, and it was interesting how differently our paintings turned out. Hers was very classical looking - dark background, lots of blending. She is a talented artist and a lovely, spiritual woman. We had so much fun!
