Bob Dylan's "Forever Young"
12 x 8 inches
acrylic on wood
sealed and ready to hang
SOLD
I've always loved the song "Forever Young" written by Bob Dylan. Joan Baez does an awesome version of it. The lyrics are something I'd imagine a parent would wish for a child:

May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May you grow up to be righteous,
May you grow up to be true,
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you.
May you always be courageous,
Stand upright and be strong,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

May your hands always be busy,
May your feet always be swift,
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift.
May your heart always be joyful,
May your song always be sung,
May you stay forever young,F
orever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young.

I'm not quite old enough to have been a hippie. People often assume I am when they see my colorful skirts and painted van. My friend, Cynde, when asked if she was a hippie, replies, "No, but I was a flower child." That sounds good to me, too.

Colorful Dragonflies
12 x 5 inches
acrlyic on wood
sealed and ready to hang
SOLD

There are so many dragonflies around my barn this summer. They come and sit on the edge of my workshop bench while I'm prepping wood. They don't even startle when I walk by anymore. I guess you could say they are tame. It is amazing. It makes me feel a teensy bit like St. Francis. And since I believe that the Lord can choose to speak to us through animals, I Googled dragonflies. They mean wisdom, vision, and change.

It reminds me of the time that my friend Janice and I rented horses in the Tennesee mountains. When trail ride was over, Janice remarked about the yellow butterflies that were following my horse, Anne, and me throughout the whole trail ride. I had noticed, but I didn't think anyone else had. It was a magical day.

Love does not dominate; it cultivates.
~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

I have been all things unholy. If God can work through me, he can work through anyone.
